Johnny Northside Should be Charged with "Obstruction of Legal Process"

John Hoff aka Johnny Northside, has been on a tear in recent weeks. John and his blog, The Adventures of Johnny Northside has been named in a civil complaint that was filed by an individual who is listed as a Level 3 Registered Sex Offender.
The blog has been publishing the home addresses of the sex offenders in north Minneapolis as well as the home address of the property owners who allegedly rent the houses to the offenders. John has called these landlords the "slum of the slumlords."

Last week John managed to avoid two Sheriff's deputies who were sent to serve him legal papers. John has since bragged about his vanishing act in public on his blog as well as other websites.
His "super-citizen" girlfriend, Megan Goodmundson also played a part with helping John avoid being served by confronting the deputies and telling them that John would not come out to where they were waiting. John was attending a hearing held by the city council for the re-appointment of the Chief of Police.

John Hoff abused his so-called, media stauts to persuade a Mayor's aide to allow John to use another exit which would allow him to avoid being served. He lied to the aide about why he wanted to enter into the council member chambers. He has stated he wanted to speak with certain council members when his intention was to obstruct the legal process by not allowing Sheriff deputies to serve him.

My question is simple...
WHY is Don Samuels, Mayor Rybak, various police personelle, County employee's and many others tolerating this type of behavior from a "trash-talking" blogger who also happens to be delinquent with his property taxes for 2008 and 2009? Not to mention the unfinished code work for his house located at 2226 Bryant Ave North.
Why hasn't anyone or any agency held John Hoff accountable (as well as his girlfriend, Megan Goodmundson) for Obstruction of Legal Process?

City of Minneapolis property information records show Mr. Hoff purchased his home and signed a certificate of responsibility on 10/13/08.

The buyer must correct all required repairs and permit items within 90 days of the closing.

The records show that the deadline for these required repairs on Mr. Hoff's current home was 1/11/09. As of the date of this comment, Mr. Hoff has yet to complete any of listed the items.

Question remains, "Why does Mr. Hoff get so much lattitute and assistance from the City of Minneapolis?" Perhaps this is a question better suited for Councilman Samuels.

You guys can't seem to focus on or rather even find any gripe that has any significance.

There is no conspiracy about John getting special treatment with a TISH or repair items. It's perposterous.

I don't know real estate in's and out's completely, but I know enough that when you buy a house with repair items on the TISH no one is coming around checking. It's just that you can't SELL that house until you've had those repair items completed.

It's like barking your head off about all the litter on the street and in the gutter and saying "Why is nobody being charged with littering - there must be special favors for someone because noone is being charged with littering".

You anti-johnny people are so out of touch and childish. Perhaps your time and energy is better spent trying to do someting USEFUL for the area where YOU live (Dallas, Powderhorn, Downtown Mpls, *cough* LYNNHURST, Northeast Mpls!)

Get a life and get over what John is doing - if he is so insignificant than why are you SWEATING HIM!

Hello Megan! Only you would currently stand up and speak on John's side these days as he has been going down faster than the Hindenburg.
To reply to your comment.... Can you explain how and why John was able to NOT make ANY of the repairs to his house he bought on north Sixth Street??
You know, the one he bought and then sold it to the city less than four months later for double what he paid for it. Check it out and get back to us.

Click the link and file a complaint like I did and see if anything is addressed. At one point the city has to consider doing its job and hold John Hoff to some sort of standard....or at least one would hope so.

It is what it is Mr Hoff. Not too much to comment on. Mr. Hoff has one property and he is batting 100% on his lack of efforts on bringing his property up to MINIMUM standards in North Minneapolis.

Anti-Johnny - why would someone make repairs to a house that was going to be torn down???? What sort of sense does that make?

That was like...3 years ago now... your incessant blogging about that has not raised one single eyebrow of anybody in any position of authority, any credible news outlet, or any sort of ethics enforcers of municipalities, bank's or real estate investors. So what makes you think your little bitter-birdy voice is going to make a difference 3 years later?

John accidentally made a great real estate investment and just about doubled his money if I understand correctly. And the best part is that 1) it was accidental! and 2) he didn't even KNOW any of the neighborhood staff or city officials yet!!! Can you believe that guys luck! Man, how does he do it?

I tell ya what DID make some munincipalites, banks and law enforcement sit up and take notice, though... Those T.J. Waconia fraudsters. Man, those guys really know how to make a media splash, don't they? Man, how do those guys do it???

Here I am wasting time to dispute the anonymous commenter who is obviously one of John Hoff's buddies. I find it ironic that John's pals are such Star Wars junkies because, the way they ass kiss John makes me compare them to the little, slimy, Elmo-like laughing side kick that acts all tough when he is sitting next to Jabba The Hutt. Then when Jabba isn't there to protect him... He gets lynched!

Seems ths lowly 'ol blog is gaining some readers (thank you to all reading).
I sure wish I was going to be in town when Don Samuels, RT Rybak, Jeff Skrenes and John Hoff are asked about this house deal by people you don't want snooping into shady deals like this one.
Why do I keep after John like this?
I only do it because, he hurts people just as a bully in school does and he has manipulated so many people as well as the court system while claiming to be an activist. Pfffft!
John Hoff is a proven user and abuser and he finally attacked someone (me) who knows how to stand up for himself as well as for others AND will NOT back down and quit until it is finally finished.

I guess I don't understand what you're saying about the 4/7/08 post. In it John mentions selling the house for 17,000 and how he kept the purchase secret because he was so excited about the great deal he was getting. Then in a comment dated 4/10/08, Jeff introduces himself, and writes about how he's excited about the blog and about having John in the neighborhood.

I'm not seeing how you can read into that that they were in cahoots to make John $8500 (which is a nice chunk of change, but not by any means life changing).

Maybe you can explain very clearly what you think transpired, based on that blog post?
