Who Has Roommates Without Knowing Who They Are? John Hoff, That's Who

This Blog has reported and contended for years that John Hoff's house located at 2226 Bryant Ave. N, has been used as a non-licensed rental property in the City of Minneapolis versus being Hoff's Homestead and housing "Roommates."

On April 30, 2014, John Hoff was asked to appear in Oklahoma City to submit a sworn statement (Deposition) to the attorney representing the Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners. Hoff submitted an application in August, 2013 to take the Bar Examination for the purpose of becoming a licensed attorney in the State of Oklahoma. Information that questioned Hoff's ethics and character fitness was submitted to the board by several people, including the author of this Blog, Jim Watkins.

The Oklahoma Board of Bar Examiners sent that information to their attorney who reviewed the documents and Hoff's application was investigated. The deposition consists of 225 pages of sworn testimony from John Hoff. The information contained in this post is found on pages 103-106 and the testimony specific to Hoff's tenant-roommate situation was copied and included in this post.

Blogger John Hoff Published Lies & Twisted Facts While "First Amendment Retaliating" Against Online Foe - Part I

Blogger John Hoff AKA Johnny Northside went on a rampage against this blogger with the intention of ruining my professional reputation while smearing me personally at the same time. He published a three part series on his blog that started in September of 2012 and continued into November. Just a few short years ago Hoff sent me an email that more or less said, "Back off of me or I will be forced to First Amendment Retaliate and ruin your career." Readers of this blog know that I did not back down to his threat. It took Hoff a few years but, he did finally carry out his threat and the previous post on this Blog documented proof that his attack has yet to stop.

My time has finally allowed me to address some of the lies and partial truths he published in his 3-part attack against me. This is Part I of my series of setting the record straight.
That reminds me of a joke I made up about John Hoff.

In October of 2012, John Hoff wrote a scathing article about me, Jim Watkins (called the “anti Johnny” by Hoff) on his blog, consisting of mostly fiction and/or misrepresenting what really happened. I will warn the readers ahead of time that this post won’t contain any juicy details of the events that really took place because the entire encounter was rather quick and uneventful. True to his style of “stirring up shit” and trying to make something out of nothing, Hoff’s post itself ended up being more entertaining than the encounter itself.

Minneapolis Blogger Continues To Test The Limits Of The First Amendment In Quest For Fame

The past 48 hours has really produced a lot of momentum. The sort of momentum that can be compared to a tiny snowball that has started its "roll" down the big hill, while constantly getting bigger and bigger. As it gains speed and size, the snowball starts to see what is happening to it and as it gets bigger, it notices people racing to get out of its growing path as it appears that nothing will stop this snowball as it is quickly becoming a massive avalanche. It says to itself, 'YES! I am the greatest snowball and I will soon dominate the world!' Spectators not in the direct path shake their heads and say to others, "That snowball doesn't see the huge brick wall at the bottom of the hill."

SLAM!!!!

The little snowball that could.... Didn't. It is now reduced to mere snow flakes at the bottom of the hill where it helplessly sits until Spring arrives and it ultimately melts away and is soon but a snowy memory.

The little snowball that thinks it can is current Minneapolis Blogger John Hoff aka Johnny Northside. He was sued for getting someone he disliked fired when he used his blog to achieve his goal. He lost in court and was ordered to pay his victim $60,000 in damages. Hoff didn't agree with that ruling and appealed. The higher court made note of his bullying intentions but, the ruling was reversed after the case had been spun into a First Amendment case.

This is a post about a blogger who has been branded as a "Bully Blogger." Recently in Minnesota,  there was a conference held on the topic of blogging. The following is a copy of some comments submitted to this blog for a previous post...

topic was on 10 things for bloggers to avoid so you don't get sued. And Johnny Northside was the example of how not to blog. John Hoff does most of the things the media attorney says you should not do, which is why he got sued.

As stated many times, the purpose of this blog is to allow the public (especially those living close to John Hoff) to see what kind of a risk John Hoff poses to anyone who may come in contact with him either via the Internet or in person. It has been well documented that anyone who questions, challenges or calls him out, are sure to face his wrath. The "wrath" I speak of is what Hoff himself has termed, "First Amendment Retaliate" (click HERE to read the actual email written by Hoff where he issued the threat).

Johnny Northside Makes Good On Threat...Ends Friendship of 30+ Years

The title may be confusing to some people who are new to this blog. Here is a brief summary of the MisAdventures of Johnny Northside that should help readers understand the meaning of this blog post.

John Hoff aka John Hoffman (pen name used to author, "The Art & Science of Dumpster Diving") aka John Willard Hoff aka Johnny Northside has been engaged in a battle that began in 2007 against the author of this blog, Jim Watkins aka the "Anti-Johnny" (the nick-name was given to me by John Hoff himself).

The battle between us all started when John manipulated the publicity of my best friend, Tom Balko who (at the time) was being slaughtered by the media after the Minneapolis City Council decided that he, his partner Jon Helgason and their company, TJ Waconia were responsible for the increased crime and real estate foreclosure crisis in North Minneapolis.
The city filed a law suit against them that was front page news when it was announced at a press conference by Minneapolis Mayor R.T. Rybak. TJ Waconia was dropped from the law suit after SunTrust Mortgage counter sued after the city was awarded the right to manage the TJ Waconia Houses. The reason SunTrust countered was because, they actually owned the houses and the city never bothered to research who owned them in their rush to cash in on the headlines while TJ Waconia was still news

John Hoff got the name Johnny Northside and the blog started partially by riding the TJ Waconia same coat tails as the city did and ever since it has been a public battle between John Hoff and myself. I started and maintain the Misadventures of Johnny Northside because, it was clear to me way back that John operated by his own set of rules and double standards. He has made several threats against me that have been well documented on this blog, the Mplsmirror and on the Adventures of Jordan Hawkman.

Which brings us to the topic of this post.

Last year, John sent me several text messages warning me that if I didn't back off of my efforts of reporting all of his current and past misdeeds, threats, attempts to manipulate others (and the list goes on), that he would go after the one thing he knew I cared about... My friend. Part of the reason I have kept up with Johns "adventures" is because of the fact that he has made threats to me before and I have the same policy as the United States does against terrorism... I will not negotiate with John Hoff and I will not stand down to his blackmail attempts.

The text message John sent said that I had "an incredible opportunity to BACK THE HELL OFF" or he would go after Tom and Jon by trying to make their lives as miserable as possible. He promised to write letters to the prison they are located at, the authorities at the prison itself as well as the parole board. He ended the threat by stating, "By the time I am done with them, the entire Balko family will HATE YOU... Now BACK OFF, JIM!"

I didn't back off. John carried out his threat by writing letters to Tom and Jon as well as to the prison, if not more.

I am writing this post to let people know that John Hoff has made good on his threat. He has accomplished his goal. John has effectively driven a wedge between me and my life-long best friend, Tom. I hereby congratulate John Hoff! John can add ending a 30+ year friendship between two people to his list of accomplishments and in doing so, has lost the one effective "weapon" that he has used against me since this all began.

Last fall, I got a call from one of Tom's relatives and they told me that John had been sending letters to both Tom and Jon as well as the prison. They told me that I will not be hearing from Tom in the future and they thanked me for the support I gave him through the entire ordeal.
I have not been contacted by Tom since.

The worst thing John has been able to slander me with in his attempts to discredit and humiliate me in public has been by telling everyone that I am the "self proclaimed best friend of TJ Waconia fraudster, Tom Balko." (the quote is from John that he has used over and over again.)
That's all, though.

John went after my former friend because, he has not been able to find anything about me that he could use to tarnish or ruin me with by blogging about it. Class act, huh?

I made a promise to John that I would not stop my efforts of notifying the public and people John associates with about his shady, two-faced and bullying ways. Now that John has caused my friendship with Tom Balko to end... John has NOTHING he can threaten me with and I will NOT back down from the self proclaimed "800 pound Gorilla" that John has called himself.

NoMi "Crack-tivist" Megan Goodmundson Feels Harassed & Includes Family

Earlier tonight I was writing the previous post and decided to send Megan Goodmundson a text message. In fact, it was the first time I had EVER tried any contact with her outside of her own crappy blog. That means I have never emailed her, called her or anything other than commented on her blog (none of those comments were ever approved though surprise surprise).

Megan didn't respond well to my text message and fired back a few of her own, even after she said she would not respond again. She responded again. And again.
In the letter that Megan sent to various politicians she stated she would "share" her disgust with neighbors if the politicians did not reply to her. Then she said she will "share" her disgust even if they don't. Translation: "I am going to bash you no matter what you say."

Megan and "Super-Stiff" boyfriend, John Hoff think nothing of other people's privacy and have proven such by posting personal emails on their blogs and have threatened people who have spoken out against them on thier own blogs as well as countless others run by neighborhood chums.
With that in mind, I decided to "Share" the petty shit (yes, I consider what she said to me to be shit) Megan said to me in the text message exchange earlier.

Entertaining stuff, huh folks? I thought it was interesting that she felt the need to "warn" me to not contact any of her family members in EVERY message she sent me. Not only have I never contacted any of her family, I don't even KNOW who anyone in her family IS outside of her parents. Me thinks Megs is a wee bit paranoid about her family finding out what a piece of fluff she really is.

(Anti-Johnny Note: Megans boyfriend, Johnny Northside made good on a threat to send threatening letters to my friends who are in a Duluth Federal Prison Camp. AND John sent letters to the prison administration in a feeble attempt to make life on my friends more difficult. Oh, John told me that it was his intention to make my friend's family hate me. As readers know, I have never pulled the sort of sadistic crap that John Hoff has with the intention of truly hurting people. Yet, Megs was adamant that I not contact her family. Ooo K!)

Lastly, there is a new blog out there that is devoted to... Me! You readers can Google around and find it but, it is set up so no one can figure out who is involved with it or owns it. Funny thing happened tonight though... The post (lone that is) has information about me contacting Megan by text messaging yet, I have only sent her mssgs ONCE... Earlier tonight!
I think it is pretty clear that John and/or Megan Goodmundson are responsible for that hate blog or else it would be pretty difficult for the post author to know about those messages since I had not posted either this or the last post online at that point.

It is funny though. Megan and all the northside haters comment all over the net that I and the JHG must be bored to keep after them like this for us to waste as much time as we do to with our anti-activist blogs. HAHAHA But, as I and others have said before... That group of slugs that claim they are revitalizers, have the mind set of "Do as I say! NOT as I do!"
